FoodSwap is a neighbourhood platform that helps members share, swap, and trade food with people nearby. By creating an account you agree to these Terms of Service.
1. Use at your own risk
FoodSwap only connects members who choose to exchange food with one another. We do not grow, prepare, store, inspect, or deliver any food, and we are not a party to any swap between members. You use the app entirely at your own risk.
2. Food safety and expired food
You are solely responsible for the safety, quality, labelling, and legality of any food you offer. Do not share food that is spoiled, past its safe-use date, mislabelled, or unsafe to consume. Before accepting any food, you are responsible for checking freshness, allergens, and suitability. FoodSwap does not verify the condition of any food and is not liable for illness, allergic reactions, or any harm caused by food obtained through the app.
3. No responsibility for swaps gone wrong
Swaps are arranged directly between members. FoodSwap is not responsible for no-shows, failed exchanges, disputes, misrepresentation, or any loss or damage arising from a swap. Any issue must be resolved between the members involved.
4. Conduct
You agree to act lawfully and respectfully, to post only food you have the right to share, and not to use the app to sell regulated or prohibited items. We may suspend or remove access for conduct that harms others or the platform.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FoodSwap and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or from any food or swap obtained through it. The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
6. Accounts and data
You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for the accuracy of what you share. You can delete your account and data at any time from Settings.
7. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of FoodSwap after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
